„The protection of the environment is a high-ranking goal in our company. In this way we are facing up to our social responsibility towards employees, the public and the environment. This also includes not only preserving habitats for birds, butterflies, wild bees and honey bees, for example, but also creating them."
- Werner Dierker

Description of measures

The company has created a "place of biodiversity" where the unsealed park areas have been planted with hedges, groups of trees and single shrubs. Around the car park, wilderness corners were created with dead wood, brushwood and heaps of cuttings, and herb spirals were also created. Various nesting aids for hedgehogs, birds and bats can be found on the company grounds. In recent years, solitary fruit trees have also been planted and various species-rich wildflower mats laid out, all of which have to be pollinated. Dierker Brandschutz has also turned its attention to this issue and has settled the first 5 bee colonies. Employees like to use the room for their breaks, admire the colourful butterflies and the most diverse birds. Customers are amazed how much can be achieved with little effort.
